So this katsu pork curry was only $6/plate. I would eat this everyday if I was a student here. I don’t understand why people have Subway and Mac Donald’s when you can have this for this same price. Long line out the door with only locals, you share tables with everyone.
The rice was perfectly soft and aromatic, fresh Napa cabbage sliced to provide pillow for the tempura pork loin katsu. Then dark brown molasses like curry. Omfg, ridiculous, like mole poblano. Then a giant jar of pickled ginger and lotus root, so fermented and vinegary, dumped this all over the curry. Not to mention the peanut sauce if desired so thick, like peanut butter. Yum. Best cheap eats in Japan.
